Position Overview

Sodexo is in search of a Tax Analyst 2 to join our team. This role is ideal for a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess a solid understanding of fundamental tax concepts.
  • Assist in federal, state, local, and international income tax audits.
  • Prepare corporate and partnership tax filings utilizing Corptax software.
  • Create spreadsheets for tax planning, compliance, and audit purposes.
  • Support research, execution, and oversight of tax-planning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other departments on corporate income tax matters.
  • Manage work assignments with minimal oversight.
  • Develop alternative strategies when guidelines are absent.
  • Interpret and apply internal policies and procedures.
  • Generate reports from the SAP Tax Depreciation Module and calculate tax depreciation using FAS.
  • Assist with year-end provisions using Onesource Provision Software.
  • Facilitate quarterly tax payments and extensions via checks or EFT.
  • Engage with state authorities to resolve tax notices.

Candidate Profile:

  • A BS or BA degree, preferably with a focus in Accounting or Finance.
  • At least 2 years of tax experience in a CPA firm or corporate tax department is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong initiative and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Capability to interact effectively with all management levels.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with accounting systems, preferably SAP.
  • Experience with tax research software such as CCH or BNA is advantageous but not essential.
  • Knowledge of tax preparation software, particularly Corptax, is a plus but not required.
