Family of Kidz is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Educator to join our team. As a Special Educator, you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule and work with students in a home and community setting.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized lessons to target Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals.
  • Collect and report meaningful data on IEP goals, providing quarterly progress updates to the school team.
  • Maintain accurate attendance and submit electronic billing on a daily basis.
  • Collaborate with lead supervisors and school team to ensure seamless communication and support.
  • Attend professional development trainings to maintain best practice approach and continue personal development.
Requirements
  • NYS Certification in Special Education (SWD) for grades 1-6, 5-9, 7-12, or all grades.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in a setting focusing on supporting children and their families.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with various professionals.
  • Self-starter and independent problem solver, with excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
