Goodwill Southern California is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to empowering individuals and communities through education, job training, and employment opportunities. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Retail Operations Manager to join our team at our West Los Angeles Store.

The Retail Operations Manager will be responsible for leading a team of Ambassadors to achieve sales, production, customer service, payroll, safety, and expense control goals. This role will collaborate closely with the Site Manager to achieve established standards and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash register operations, and training and development of Ambassadors.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, engage with customers and donors, and promote Goodwill's mission and values.
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment by following established company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve sales, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement.
  • Supervise and train Ambassadors, provide feedback, and recognize and reward outstanding performance.
  • Monitor and maintain sales floor, production area, and store equipment to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Buy and process donated goods, including luxury brands and books, to meet sales and quality standards.
  • Manage ecommerce operations, including processing collectables and other items to meet sales and quality standards.
  • Ensure accurate capture of donor information and proper sorting of goods.
  • Work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and may be required to work at a nearby location.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a customer-focused management role.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; college degree helpful.
  • Ability to multitask, lead a team, and communicate effectively.
  • Strong communication, training, and people skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Punctual and dependable attendance.
  • Free from alcohol and drug abuse.
  • Understanding of Goodwill's mission and values.
