Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Community Development Senior Finance Analyst to join our team at CIBC. As a key member of our Community Development Team, you will play a critical role in supporting our Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) investments portfolio administration and management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare financial analysis for new and existing investments, including financial modeling and due diligence.
  • Assist in the preparation of draft investment presentations for committee approval and department reports.
  • Communicate with internal and external parties related to the processing and maintenance of the investment portfolio.
  • Maintain investment portfolio data and tracking tools, and assist in the preparation of reports to senior management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in community development, urban planning, real estate finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional experience in community development finance, real estate finance, urban planning, or commercial banking.
  • Commercial credit training or commercial banking experience is strongly desirable.
  • Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills are preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking ability, detail-oriented, and able to independently manage multiple projects and timelines.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communications skills.
What We Offer:

CIBC offers a competitive total rewards package, including a salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 for the Chicago, IL market, based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business units' incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
