Insight Global is seeking a skilled Robotics Technician to join our team in Auburn Hills, MI. As a Robotics Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the high-quality assembly, modification, and system integration of products from documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consistently achieve high-quality results when working on product assembly, modification, and/or system integration from documentation (prints, illustrations, and schematics).
- Sequentially follow step-by-step instructions provided in manufacturing process plans, documenting all in-process checks.
- Using engineering design documents, place, assemble, and secure robots and associated equipment in defined locations.
- Move robots via teach pendant.
- Load, upgrade, and backup FAC software.
- Define or teach simple robot paths.
- Test or functional verification of products and/or systems as defined (PDE EX testing, engineer releases, or manufacturing control plans).
- Troubleshoot or debug mechanical/electrical equipment.
- Disassemble and prepare FAC products and systems for shipment.
- Properly care for and use FAC tools, complying with tool management procedures (check-out and return FAC tooling daily).
- Reliable and consistent attendance is required.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism in appearance, communication, and work area organization.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as a robot, automotive, automation technician, or related field (experience in school is acceptable).
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanically and electrically.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints and schematics.
- Proficient with using hand tools such as screwdrivers, Allen wrenches, and multimeters.
- Minimum of High School Diploma/GED, Associate's Degree in Robotics preferred.
- Comfortable working overtime and Saturday shifts when needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Robot certifications.
