What You’ll Do:

As the Hardware Test Manager you will lead a team of validation engineers and technicians with coordination and execution of precise, and efficient standardized laboratory testing to aid in the development of the next generation of high-quality, connected consumer robotics products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages schedules of test engineers to satisfy up to four ongoing concurrent programs from Engineering Verification (EVT), Design Validation (DVT) through Production Validations (PVT).
Writes and maintains test plans for consumer robotic products.
Performs tests, gathers data, and writes results/reports with assistance from Hardware and Quality Engineering, utilizing various types of electro-mechanical equipment.
Reads schematics, assembly drawings, data sheets, and processes sheets to perform testing, build fixtures, check out and trouble-shoot equipment.
Assists in failure analysis, troubleshooting, rework/repair of non-conforming manufactured product to determine root causes.
Will perform additional responsibilities when required

Leadership Responsibilities:

Directly supervises department Teams. Carries out supervisory responsibilities following Whisker policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, training, and hiring, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, addressing team issues, and upholding safety and quality guidelines.

Requirements:

What You’ll Bring:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in an engineering laboratory
Minimum of 2 years managing an engineering test team
Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information
Ability to maintain a professional atmosphere in a fast-paced environment with numerous interactions and interruptions
A high degree of initiative, self-motivation, and ability to motivate others
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with Team Members and colleagues
Comfortable with office pets (cats, dogs)

Not Required but Nice to Have

Experience with test and design of robotics
