Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Machine Operator to join our team at PDS Tech Commercial. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC and manual machines to produce precision parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate precision manual and/or computerized machining centers according to standard work.
  • Adjust machine feed/spindle speeds and change tooling and cutters per machining.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Understand and follow quality testing techniques.
  • Inspect product using precision gauges, measuring instruments, and equipment.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Manufacturing Documentation and Labor Transactions.
  • Support and follow all rules/guidelines/standards set by EHS, Quality, and CI functions.
  • Actively participate in the Continuous Improvement process and safety-related activities.
  • Work extended shifts/overtime as required by the business.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a High School Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturing background.
  • Manual dexterity to perform tasks associated with machine operations.
  • Ability to learn how to read and understand prints.
  • Computer experience (email, print documents, internet) and ability to learn how to operate a computer to access prints and/or specified work instructions.
  • Basic shop math including knowledge of Geometric Tolerances.
  • Basic knowledge with identifying, analyzing, and resolving problems.
  • Ability to learn basics of the position within first 3 months of employment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and management.
