Position Overview

RN Charge – Transitional Care

This role encompasses a supervisory capacity within the designated nursing unit, overseeing the activities of Primary Care Nurses and Nursing Assistants. The RN Charge may also engage in direct patient care responsibilities, which include administering medications, providing essential skin care, and adjusting treatment plans to address the physical and psychosocial needs of patients. Additionally, the RN Charge is responsible for reassigning and reorganizing staff based on the operational requirements of the facility.

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Evening Shift

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support Primary Care Nurses and Nursing Assistants.
  • Participate in direct patient care as needed.
  • Administer medications and provide primary skin care.
  • Modify treatment regimens to meet individual patient needs.
  • Reorganize staff assignments to ensure optimal care delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Registered Nurse.
  • Possess a valid Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
  • Minimum of 3 years of RN experience, preferably in sub-acute care, or previous charge nurse experience, or 2 years of relevant leadership experience.
