Position Overview
RN Charge – Transitional Care at Providence
This role encompasses a supervisory function within the designated nursing unit, ensuring effective management and oversight. The RN Charge is responsible for supervising Primary Care Nurses and Nursing Assistants, stepping in to provide care when necessary. This position may involve direct patient interaction, including administering medications, delivering essential skin care, and assisting in the adjustment of treatment plans to address the physical and psychosocial needs of patients. The RN Charge will also be tasked with re-evaluating and reallocating staff according to the needs of the facility.
Work Schedule: Full-Time, Evening Shift
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the nursing unit and ensure high standards of patient care.
- Supervise and support Primary Care Nurses and Nursing Assistants.
- Engage in direct patient care activities as required.
- Administer medications and provide necessary skin care.
- Modify treatment regimens to meet individual patient needs.
- Adjust staffing levels based on operational requirements.

Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse license.
- Washington State RN License upon hire.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
- Minimum of 3 years of RN experience, preferably in sub-acute care, or previous charge nurse experience, or 2 years of relevant leadership experience.
