Position Overview
RN Charge – Transitional Care
This role encompasses a supervisory function within the designated nursing unit, overseeing the performance and duties of Primary Care Nurses and Nursing Assistants. The RN Charge may also engage in direct patient care, which includes administering medications, providing essential skin care, and adjusting treatment plans to address the physical and psychosocial needs of patients. Additionally, this position involves the reallocation and reorganization of staff based on the operational requirements of the facility.
Work Schedule: Full-Time, Evening Shift
Job Responsibilities:
The RN Charge will be responsible for supervising the nursing unit, ensuring that Primary Care Nurses and Nursing Assistants are effectively supported. This includes stepping in to provide care when necessary. Responsibilities also extend to direct patient interactions, such as medication administration and treatment plan modifications tailored to individual patient needs. The RN Charge will adapt staffing arrangements to meet the evolving demands of the facility.

Qualifications Required:
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Washington State Registered Nurse License upon hire
- Current National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
- A minimum of 3 years of RN experience, preferably in sub-acute care, or previous experience as a charge nurse, or 2 years of relevant leadership experience.
