Position Overview
This role at The Red Gate Group involves providing essential program management support to the Acquisition Policy & Innovation Directorate within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Acquisition and Sustainment) (OUSD(A&S)). As a key contributor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective coordination and execution of the Acquisition Innovation Research Center's (AIRC) initiatives, projects, and pilots.

Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Delivering regular updates—daily, weekly, and monthly—on the progress of AIRC tasks, communications, legislative actions, and projects, both verbally and in writing.
  2. Creating and implementing program management tools and methodologies to track and oversee critical tasks as directed by the Director.
  3. Assisting in the preparation of meetings, briefings, and reports for senior Defense officials and Congressional staff, including facilitating interactions with Congressional representatives.
  4. Supporting the strategic planning and management of A&S research and pilot priorities to ensure successful execution by the AIRC.
  5. Coordinating the availability of data for research purposes and ensuring that research findings are accessible to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  6. Producing an annual electronic Compendium of AIRC projects, detailing each project's sponsor, UARC research entities, budget, objectives, methodologies, and outcomes.
  7. Ensuring that UARC researchers upload final reports of unclassified research to the AIRC database and the Defense Technical Information Center repository.
  8. Evaluating project requests for completeness, relevance, and potential applicability across the DoD, providing recommendations to the Director.
  9. Monitoring Government Sponsor engagement and support for projects, advising the Director of any issues.
  10. Facilitating the planning, promotion, and execution of an annual project symposium to foster collaboration between Defense Acquisition leaders and academic institutions.
  11. Assisting in organizing quarterly meetings for Acquisition Innovation Advisors (government) and the Acquisition Innovation Panel (academia).
  12. Developing and maintaining AIRC Standing Operating Procedures, including processes for updates, responsibilities, communication protocols, and access control for DoD information systems.
  13. Acting as a liaison between the Director, AIRC, UARC, and project Government Sponsors.
