Responsibilities:
  • Develop systems engineering processes for the planning, deployment, integration, and test of satellite ground station systems
  • Evaluate proposed architecture and engineering design changes to a prototype system
  • Collaborate with colleagues across teams to drive communication and effectively represent the organization in developing solutions to difficult technical problems
  • Provide input and status to the program integrated master schedule (IMS) and assume responsibility for program tasks
  • Exercise sound judgment to avoid erroneous decisions or recommendations that would normally result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure or resources
Qualifications:
  • An Associates degree with 10+ years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience. Additional four (4) years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree will be considered
  • Must have eight (8+) years of related experience as a systems engineer
  • This position requires the candidate possess a minimum of Top-Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI and pass a polygraph within 30 days of employment or at customers request- contract requires TS/SCI with poly
  • Familiarity with cloud architectures, such as AWS and OpenStack
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and with stakeholders
  • Experience developing and supporting system integration processes such as Configuration Management, Software Release Management, Patch Management, Change Management
