Job Title: Space Systems Engineer

KBR is seeking a highly qualified Systems Engineer to support our team in the analysis and modeling of complex space systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze space systems, performance metrics, timelines, and models to identify areas for improvement.
  • Support modeling and simulation activities to validate system performance and identify potential issues.
  • Document and communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Participate in system design reviews and technical interchange meetings to drive resolution plans and strategies for complex technical challenges.
  • Interface with customers, directorate/office representatives, and across system engineering groups to drive resolution plans and strategies for complex technical challenges.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in modeling and simulation, analyzing algorithms, or verification and validation of systems.
  • Ability to collaborate across stakeholder organizations.
  • Strong communication skills to interface with customers, directorate/office representatives, and across system engineering groups.
  • Ability to generate and maintain technical documentation and reports.
  • Experience using one or more of the following: C++, Python, R, SQL, PostgreSQL, Linux, MATLAB, VBA, or STK.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in modeling and simulation.
  • Prior experience providing analysis support.
  • Knowledge of impacting mission threats.
  • Prior experience with government satellite systems and/or space situational awareness.
  • Experience in the NRO.
  • Experience with CONOPs, architecture products, and/or requirements.
  • Experience supporting wargames and exercises.
Security Requirements:

Active Top Secret clearance and eligible for SCI. Current TS/SCI preferred.
