This faculty role demands proficiency in all facets of spinal surgery, with a focus on peripheral nerve care and complex surgical techniques.

Position Overview:

  • Collaborative care approach involving advanced practice providers, therapists, and triage nurses, along with multidisciplinary teams including pain management and orthopedic specialists.
  • Utilization of clinic access points in suburban facilities to support the practice.
  • Research interests will be backed by start-up funding for suitable candidates.
  • Engagement in outcomes registries and opportunities for research.
  • Participation in a call rotation with adult neurosurgeons.
  • Outpatient clinic responsibilities at designated hospitals.
  • Instruction of residents and fellows in an accredited spinal fellowship program.
  • Support for the IU Neuroscience Institute, particularly the Center for Spinal Disorders.
  • Numerous opportunities for innovation in clinical care, education, and research.
  • Leadership roles available for qualified individuals in education and quality improvement.
  • Access to medical editing, illustration, and communication support, fostering collaboration across departments.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a neurosurgery residency in an ACGME-accredited program.
  • Desirable but not mandatory: Enfolded or post-graduate spinal surgery fellowship based on experience.
  • ABNS Board Eligible/Certified.
