Indiana University Health Physicians, in partnership with Indiana University School of Medicine, is in search of a Spine Neurosurgeon to enhance our academic division.

Position Overview:

  • Engage in a collaborative care model with advanced practice providers, therapists, and nursing staff, alongside multidisciplinary teams including pain management and orthopedic specialists.
  • Utilize various clinic locations to support patient care within a defined geographic area.
  • Research initiatives are encouraged, with potential funding for suitable candidates.
  • Participate in outcomes registries and have access to resources for conducting outcomes research.
  • Share on-call responsibilities with fellow adult neurosurgeons.
  • Provide outpatient care at multiple facilities.
  • Instruct residents and fellows in a CAST-approved spinal fellowship program.
  • Contribute to the IU Neuroscience Institute and the Center for Spinal Disorders.
  • Explore opportunities for innovation in clinical care, education, and research, particularly in spinal outcomes.
  • Leadership roles available for qualified individuals in education and quality improvement.
  • Receive support for medical communications, mentoring, and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a neurosurgery residency from an ACGME-accredited program.
  • Desirable but not mandatory: fellowship training in spinal surgery.
  • Board eligibility or certification from the ABNS.
