Position Overview:
- Engage in an interdisciplinary care model collaborating with advanced practice providers, therapists, and nursing staff, alongside multidisciplinary teams including pain management and orthopedic specialists.
- Utilize clinic access points in suburban facilities to optimize patient care.
- Research interests are encouraged, with potential start-up funding available for suitable candidates.
- Participate in outcomes registries, with resources available for outcomes research.
- Engage in a call rotation with adult neurosurgeons, typically 4-5 days per month.
- Provide outpatient clinic coverage at various facilities.
- Instruct residents and fellows in a CAST-approved enfolded spinal fellowship.
- Support the IU Neuroscience Institute, particularly the Center for Spinal Disorders.
- Explore opportunities for clinical innovation, education, and research, especially in spinal care outcomes.
- Leadership roles available for qualified individuals in education and quality improvement.
- Receive support in medical editing, illustration, and mentoring, fostering collaboration across departments.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a neurosurgery residency in an ACGME-accredited program.
- Desirable but not mandatory: enfolded or post-graduate spinal surgery fellowship based on experience.
- ABNS board eligibility or certification required.
