About the Position

Sweetwater Union High School District is seeking a highly qualified Bilingual Health Education Teacher to join our team. As a Health Education Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching health education classes to students in grades 7-12.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health education curriculum that meets state and national standards
  • Teach health education classes to students in grades 7-12
  • Assess student learning and progress
  • Communicate with parents and guardians about student progress
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement school-wide health education initiatives
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Education or related field
  • California teaching credential with authorization to teach English Language Learners
  • Experience teaching health education to students in grades 7-12
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff
