Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team at Chula Vista Elementary School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality educational services to students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
* Provide instruction and support to students in a variety of settings, including general education classrooms and specialized support classrooms
* Collaborate with general education teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive educational experience for all students
* Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress and involve them in the educational process
* Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education

Requirements:

* Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, Learning Handicapped Credential, or Severely Handicapped Credential and RSP Certificate
* Educational Specialist Mild/Moderate Credential and/or Educational Specialist Moderate/Severe
* Autism Spectrum Disorder Authorization
* CLAD Authorization or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working with students with diverse learning needs
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
