Key Responsibilities
  • Manage fixed assets and general accounting for our globally developed and operated ports.
  • Work with multi-national teams to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Interact with Global Accounting and Reporting, Treasury, Tax, Risk Management, and Financial Technology departments to ensure alignment and coordination.
  • Provide support for joint venture reporting and funding.
  • Help draft policies for the Global Ports Group.
  • Take ownership and be accountable for deliverables and contribute to our continuous process improvement and robust internal control philosophy.
  • Play an integral role in the month-end closing and reporting process, review of Balance Sheet reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Support the oversight of the Bahamas Operations.
  • Prepare quarterly disclosure checklists and the Bahamas Ports Checklist.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field of study.
  • Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Accountant, or similar certification is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of Accounting or related experience; supervisor/management experience a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficient knowledge of other Microsoft applications.
  • Oracle, Blackline, and Hyperion knowledge is highly desirable.
  • Fluent in reading and speaking in Spanish a plus.
  • Ability to lead a team of 1-2 direct reports.
  • Industry knowledge a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Intelligent and practical, with the ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented in document review or preparation, but also an innovative and strategic thinker to help realize potential process efficiencies.
  • Tenacious in meeting deadlines and adept at managing peak workloads.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English, with all levels of staff and management.
