Job Summary

Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) division is seeking a Field Services Project Manager to oversee the execution of startup and commissioning projects for large data center clients. The successful candidate will work closely with our District Operations Centers (DOCs) to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management to ensure project success.
  • Receive job handoffs and complete initial technical, scope of work, and scheduling requirement reviews.
  • Utilize project management tools and software to maintain adherence to key milestones and deliverables.
  • Coordinate project meetings and formal communication plans with key stakeholders.
  • Determine mechanisms for successful job closeout, including punch lists and issue resolution.
  • Serve as primary point of contact throughout the duration of EESS activities on site.
  • Collaborate with DOC teams to communicate safety program initiatives and concerns to customer, contractor, and subcontractor stakeholders.
  • Provide financial oversight through cost control, warranty, change order management, and risk mitigation.
  • Work closely with commercial operations teams to reconcile client expectations with order commitments, change orders, and timelines.
  • Implement and cascade requirements associated with program level initiatives or changes from technical program managers.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, demonstrating advanced project management, operational, and commercial competencies.
Qualifications
  • Possess a High School Diploma/G.E.D. or higher.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading and/or managing electrical, construction, or industrial projects.
  • Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • PMP or Commissioning Agent Certification.
  • 7-10 electrical field services experience.
  • 5+ years managing electrical construction or commissioning projects as project manager or construction manager.
  • Proficiency in project management and construction industry software packages.
  • OSHA 10 & 30 hour general industry or construction certification.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a distributed workforce and at customer job sites.
  • Ability to influence without authority, specifically through coordination with other trades and contractors on site.
  • Broad understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills, computer, and organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of product applications and customer needs.
  • Must be able to lead and manage upwards and downwards.
  • Handles pressures well.
  • Able to influence without authority and work collaboratively with internal and external businesses and stakeholders.
  • Submit to periodic customer required background and drug screenings.
  • Technical skills required to understand legal documents and technical drawings.
  • Analytical skills to identify cost-effective and timely solutions.
