Job Overview

The Gaming Cash Room Specialist is tasked with the meticulous collection and counting of cash boxes from the gaming floor, alongside conducting cash and ticker counts within the count room. This role adheres strictly to the company’s Internal Control Policies and Procedures as well as state regulations.

This description highlights essential functions and responsibilities, while also indicating that additional tasks may be assigned as needed. Employees are expected to follow job-related instructions and fulfill any other duties as requested by their supervisors. This document does not create an employment contract, but rather establishes an 'at-will' employment relationship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional guest service to both internal and external stakeholders, embodying the #AddLife culture in all interactions.
  • Encourage a supportive and motivating atmosphere for fellow Team Members.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all sensitive information in line with established company policies and state regulations.
  • Conduct drop procedures by collecting drop boxes from slot machines and table games, strictly following Internal Control Policies and Procedures.
  • Accurately record the count of each box in the designated count system and reconcile amounts with fellow count Team Members.
  • Adhere to all departmental and company policies, procedures, internal controls, and government regulations.
  • Prepare necessary documentation to support and reconcile all collected money and vouchers.
  • Operate count machines and coin rollers in accordance with departmental and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Assist colleagues in transporting box carts weighing up to four hundred (400) pounds multiple times a week.
  • Count and verify all cash transactions, both bundled and loose, exchanged with the cashier.
  • Address issues within the scope of authority and recommend solutions for matters beyond this scope to the supervisor.
  • Keep the position supervisor informed of relevant activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Regulatory and Compliance Duties

In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, each Team Member must adhere to the following compliance-related duties:

  • Participate in mandatory training sessions provided by the Company.
  • Obtain and maintain required licenses.
  • Execute duties in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Ensure minors are prohibited from gambling or loitering in gaming areas, consuming alcoholic beverages, or purchasing tobacco.
  • Understand the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relevant to the Team Member's department.
  • Be aware of the Property's initiatives to address problem gaming.
  • Report any known acts of wrongdoing.
Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED certificate is required. Experience in a cash handling environment is preferred, along with familiarity with Microsoft Office and menu-driven programs.

Licenses and Certifications

Virginia Racing Commission License is required.
