Job Summary

The Department of Housing & Community Development is seeking a highly skilled Housing and Community Development Representative II to join our team. As a key member of our Federal Programs Branch, you will play a critical role in the design and implementation of federally funded housing and community development programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager I to develop and implement program guidelines, Notices of Funding Availability, and project solicitations for federally funded housing and community development programs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to review applications, make funding recommendations, and disburse funds to eligible recipients.
  • Monitor program performance and provide technical assistance to grantees to ensure compliance with program requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, local governments, and other stakeholders to promote program goals and objectives.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to grantees and other stakeholders on program requirements and best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as public administration, urban planning, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in program management, policy analysis, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed recommendations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience working with federally funded programs, including the National Housing Trust Fund program.
  • Knowledge of housing and community development policies and programs.
  • Experience working with community-based organizations and local governments.
