About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Land Development Staff Engineer II to join our team in State College, PA. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other professionals to perform a variety of engineering-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designing portions of projects
  • Researching code requirements for project sites
  • Preparing drainage, storm water management, erosion & sedimentation control, and other reports required for project permits and approvals
  • Performing research and writing reports
  • Performing inspections of job sites
  • Monitoring work in progress according to scope of work
  • Working with drafters to reduce designs into completed drawings
  • Reviewing shop drawings
  • Performing construction observation
  • Preparing construction cost opinions
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
  • E.I.T. certification required, P.E. certification a plus
  • Minimum 2-6 years' experience in land development, including NPDES, erosion & sediment control, subdivision land development, municipal engineering, and storm water management
  • Previous experience with a consulting engineering firm preferred
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Civil 3D, and various engineering software
  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices
