Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our operations & maintenance team in Vance, AL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing intermediate-level expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and performing emergency and preventive maintenance and repairs on building equipment, fixtures, and systems in a commercial campus environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely perform functions of the position, including following proper safety guidelines and wearing PPE as required.
  • Operate, maintain, and repair all facility and production-associated equipment in compliance with company regulations and standards.
  • Analyze equipment failures, inspect, replace, alter, and maintain in good repair all building and related equipment.
  • Perform planned maintenance on all building equipment and related services for specific areas while being sensitive and responsive to customer needs.
  • Perform trouble-shooting techniques on mechanical equipment to determine problems and effect repairs as promptly and efficiently as possible to minimize downtime.
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and develop and implement planned maintenance procedures.
  • Assist in installing, inspecting new equipment, and servicing installations.
  • Provide support to co-workers, contractors, vendors, project managers, building managers, and engineers as necessary to support project and renovation work.
  • Comply with all governmental, company, and industrial regulations, codes, and standards, health safety practices, and permit systems.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
  • Three years of maintenance experience in one of the following trades or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience: Industrial HVAC/Industrial Mechanical Machine Repair, or Automotive Repair.
  • Ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.
  • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
