Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team in Henderson, NC. As a Senior Level Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including routine preventative maintenance, component inspections, and repairs.

Responsibilities
Perform standard vehicle maintenance and repairs
Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers
Identify root causes of failures and perform repairs as required
Replace defective components as instructed
Perform facility maintenance duties and interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation
Work in accordance with all federal and corporate compliance guidelines

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Vocational or technical certification or post-secondary degree preferred
Basic tools required
Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
Ability to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
Pass a Ryder road test, background and motor vehicle check, and DOT physical
