Job Description

Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Maintenance Technician to join our team in Henderson, NC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electronic issues, and ensuring our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles is in top condition.

Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including routine preventative maintenance and diagnostic repairs
  • Inspect and repair standard components, including brakes, tires, and suspension systems
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic issues, utilizing diagnostic computer systems
  • Perform facility maintenance duties, including cleaning and organization of the shop
  • Interact with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints and assign tasks
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
