Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, gather medical history, take vital signs, and prepare patients for examinations.
  • Administrative Support: Assist healthcare professionals with preparing and conducting medical exams, office procedures, and administrative tasks.
  • Medical Procedures: Perform medical procedures, collect laboratory specimens, administer injections/immunizations, and perform venipuncture as allowed by state regulations.
  • Communication: Communicate information and instructions to patients, families, and other care providers, ensuring a safe patient care environment.
  • Office Management: Maintain exam rooms, stock medical supplies, and ensure a clean and organized workspace.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, respond to patient inquiries, and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Education: Diploma from an accredited program for Medical Assistants required.
  • Certification: MA certification required; if not currently certified, certification must be obtained within 6 months to 1 year dependent on state requirements.
  • Experience: 1+ years' experience in an office-based setting preferred.
  • Industry: Healthcare
  • Certifications: CPR certification required, ability to maintain OSHA standards and HIPAA regulations.
