This position is responsible for responding to emergency services requests, including suicide hotline and crisis line calls, and coordinating intake processes for the 8-county service region. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Emergency Response: Prioritize and respond to suicide hotline and crisis line calls, assessing and referring callers as needed.
- Access Line Coordination: Answer access line calls, assess, refer, schedule, and reschedule caller needs for information and services.
- Crisis Admissions: Complete screenings for crisis admissions and schedule assessments with on-call evaluators and crisis therapists.
- Jail Triage: Collect information regarding jail triage requests and contact on-call evaluators to complete triage.
- Disaster Notifications: Monitor emergency weather alerts and other disaster notifications, notifying designated staff of need for precautions.
- Building and Client Safety: Monitor safety of building, crisis units, clients, and staff, reporting unusual issues to staff and supervisory chain.
- Security Camera Monitoring: Monitor security cameras for CCSU and ACSU, reporting unusual issues to staff and supervisory chain.
- Consultation and Resource Updates: Consult with supervisory chain and/or designated on-call licensed clinician for individuals at risk, updating resource lists on local, state, and national levels.
- Reporting and Quality Improvement: Compile data for call reports upon request, participating in agency Continuing Quality Improvement (CQI) activities.
- Other Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Adherence to Policies: Adhere to Communicare policies and procedures.
- Training and Education: Attend mandatory in-service and other training/educational programs as required.
- Availability: Be available to provide evening/weekend/holiday services on a rotation.
