  • Oversee essential risk program functions, including Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), while offering valuable perspectives to the Business Control team.
  • Promote a robust risk culture and enhance risk literacy within the organization, focusing on preventive and detective controls.
  • Engage in research and data analysis to support strategic initiatives and organizational planning.
  • Serve as the liaison for risk management and compliance activities, representing the Business Control Office in various meetings.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships across all business lines to facilitate collaboration and achieve organizational goals.
  • Develop clear and impactful communication materials for senior management, including presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prioritize risk management objectives and lead special projects as required.
  • Support audit and examination processes, ensuring compliance and readiness.
  • Mentor and develop risk management talent within the organization through coaching and training initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years in risk and control management within a financial institution.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership or project management capacity.
  • 3 years of experience in operational risk management, including control design and testing.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Advanced degrees (MBA, JD) are preferred.
  • Proficient in project management and complex problem-solving.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with financial services regulations and best practices in risk management.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
