Key Responsibilities:
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and qualifications:

1. Completion of a color-acuity screening test is mandatory.

2. A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting is required.

3. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline such as chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution is essential. Candidates must also be eligible for a recognized certification examination.

Acceptable certifying organizations include:
ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW).

4. Demonstrated ability to execute and uphold clinical laboratory procedures in accordance with established standards and regulations.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:

1. Successful completion of a color-acuity screening test is required.

2. One (1) year of experience in a clinical laboratory is preferred.

3. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field or medical technology from an accredited institution, with eligibility for a recognized certification examination.

Acceptable certifying organizations include:
ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW).

OR

4. An Associate’s degree in laboratory science (Chemical or Biological Science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution, along with certification as a Medical Technologist.

Acceptable certifying organizations include:
ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW).

OR

5. Graduation from a Military Program in Science (health science, biology, chemical, physical, medical technology) and certification as a Medical Technologist.

Acceptable certifying organizations include ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW).

OR

6. Grandfathered Medical Technologist status by having previously qualified as a technologist on or before February 28, 1992, with current certification as a Medical Technologist.

Acceptable certifying organizations include ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW).

7. Proven ability to implement and perform clinical laboratory procedures according to established standards and regulations.

7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
