Key Responsibilities:


The Medical Technologist II is responsible for developing and overseeing testing protocols, as well as conducting and analyzing laboratory tests essential for the diagnosis and treatment of patients across all age groups, including neonates, children, adults, and seniors.


Qualifications:

Mandatory Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution, with eligibility for a relevant certification examination.

Acceptable certifying bodies include:
ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)

OR

An Associate's Degree in laboratory science (Chemical or Biological Science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution, along with certification as a Medical Technologist.

Acceptable certifying bodies include:
ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)

OR


A graduate of a Military Program in Science (health science, biology, chemical, physical, medical technology) with certification as a Medical Technologist.

Acceptable certifying bodies include ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)

OR


A Grandfathered Medical Technologist who qualified as a technologist on or before February 28, 1992, and holds current certification as a Medical Technologist.

Acceptable certifying bodies include ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)

A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.

Proficiency in executing clinical laboratory procedures in accordance with established standards and regulations.

Must complete a Color-Acuity screening Test.

Preferred Qualifications:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
