Lassonde Pappas & Co., Inc. is a leading beverage manufacturer dedicated to delivering exceptional products and services to our customers. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Sparta, Michigan location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and service mechanical equipment, machinery, and components to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Perform skilled repair services of mechanical, electrical, and building systems and equipment.
  • Conduct periodic inspections to evaluate requests for repair and identify parts needed for replacement.
  • Supervise the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of switches, cables, and other equipment to ensure optimum usage and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with company requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Schedule and coordinate installation support and service operations.
  • Complete all work in accordance with established safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Accountable for food safety, food quality, and regulatory requirements for their position.
  • Empowerment to work with supervision to resolve food safety and food quality issues within their scope of work.
Requirements
  • Three years of mechanic experience.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detailed-oriented and able to multi-task.
  • Excellent time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the food/beverage industry.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or production environment.
  • Ability to direct, coach, and train others.
  • Consultative, influential, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions

This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a production setting. The employee must be able to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, and/or crouch. The employee must also be able to push/pull, lift up to 50 pounds, and use hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment and all manual and electronic equipment in the area of responsibility.

The employee will be exposed to wet and humid conditions and fluctuations in ambient temperature (seasonal). The employee may also be exposed to toxic and corrosive chemicals.
