Medical Customer Service Representative

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Medical Customer Service Representative. As a key member of our plasma donation center team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our donors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer phone calls and greet donors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Screen new and repeat donors, taking and recording vital signs and finger stick results.
  • Use our Donor Information System to prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using company-approved procedures.
  • Work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, to ensure excellent customer service.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
  • Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
  • Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
  • Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
  • Prolonged glove wear required due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1).
  • 1 or more years minimum experience working in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful.

The starting hourly wage reflects the actual starting rate for this position, and the actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

Benefits Summary:

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. Employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
