Our clientele includes individuals from the Atlanta Metro area and beyond, who travel significant distances for specialized care for their exotic pets.

Our facility is exclusively focused on avian and exotic pet patients, treating a variety of species such as parrots, rabbits, rodents, ferrets, snakes, turtles, and lizards. While prior experience with exotic animals is not mandatory, a strong eagerness to learn and develop is essential, along with a valid DVM or equivalent degree eligible for licensure in Georgia.

  • Established in 1988, For Pet's Sake has built a stellar reputation within the community for delivering exceptional care to exotic pet patients. Our veterinarians collectively possess over 50 years of experience in treating exotic animals.
  • We have recently moved to a spacious 5000+ square foot facility.
  • Flexible vacation policies, shared holidays, and the opportunity to adjust scheduled days with fellow veterinarians.
  • Our team is transitioning to EzyVet software, enhancing scheduling and record management.
  • There are no overnight or Sunday duties. After-hours emergencies are directed to a nearby emergency facility or the University of Georgia.
  • Our laboratory is equipped with Abaxis, iSTAT, and IDEXX blood machines for in-house diagnostics.
  • Our specialized surgical suite includes an EKG, capnograph, IPPV ventilator, doppler, and pulse-oximeter for top-tier anesthetic monitoring.
  • We utilize digital radiography that integrates seamlessly with our practice management software.
Full-Time Associate Veterinarian Benefits Package:

Competitive compensation, with full-time roles starting at a base salary in the six-figure range.

o Salary will be commensurate with experience.

o Work schedule of 32-40 hours per week, including rotating Saturdays and weekend responsibilities.

Production-based compensation option with no negative accrual.

Health, dental, and vision insurance available after 90 days, with the first $500/month of your plan covered.

Up to $2000 continuing education stipend per contract year.

Liability insurance provided through AVMA PLIT.

Memberships in AVMA, GVMA, AAV, ARAV, ABVP, and AEMV included.

Coverage for state license fees.

Coverage for DEA license fees.

401(k) plan with matching contributions up to 4% of your base salary (eligible after one year).

10 days of paid time off for the first year, with accruals permitted.

Part-Time Associate Veterinarian Position

Compensation and benefits will be based on scheduled days and experience.
