Job Title: Site Survey Technician

Job Summary:

Saturn Business Systems is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Field Technician to perform comprehensive site surveys for MDU and MTU properties for the installation of fixed wireless and DAS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing installation sites to determine the best positioning of equipment for optimal signal reception and to identify any potential challenges to installation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed site surveys to assess the physical layout, condition, and accessibility of MDU and MTU properties.
  • Evaluate structural integrity and suitability for installing fixed wireless millimeter wave equipment.
  • Determine line-of-sight (LOS) to nearest base station and identify any obstructions.
  • Collect and document technical data, including measurements, signal strength readings, and photographs of prospective installation sites.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to recommend equipment types and installation methods.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive site survey reports, including recommendations and installation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and company policies during on-site activities.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with property managers, tenants, and internal teams.
  • This Job will require 80% travel.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a technical field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in field operations, telecommunications, or a related technical field.
  • Previous construction experience and electrical apprentice experience is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of fixed wireless technologies, particularly millimeter wave systems is a plus.
  • Experience with site survey tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret building schematics and architectural drawings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Must be able to use MS office tools, and Adobe.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Able to travel to various sites as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Able to stand, walk, and climb ladders for extended periods.

Work Environment:

Field work will be conducted in various MDU and MTU settings, which may include both indoor and outdoor environments.
