Job Title: Survey Manager

Thomas & Hutton is a leading provider of consulting services throughout the southeast, recognized as one of the best firms to work for by regional and national publications. We are seeking a motivated and driven Survey Manager to join our team in Nashville, TN.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate surveys and investigations of land surfaces, preparing Topographic Maps, Boundary Adjustments, Subdivision Maps, Records of Survey, and Legal Descriptions.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and requirements, including boundary calculations and legal ownership issues.
  • Oversee projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to budget.
  • Act as an advisor to the engineering team on projects, tasks, and operations.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of Land Surveying.
  • Relies on experience, knowledge, and judgment to plan and accomplish goals in a highly professional manner.
  • Perform complex tasks related to Boundary and Topographic Surveying and Mapping.
  • Lead and direct field survey crews and survey technicians.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in Land Surveying, Subdivision Mapping, Topographic Mapping, and writing legal descriptions.
  • Proficiency in Carlson Survey and GPS Equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Tennessee Registered Professional Land Surveyor.
Skills:
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software applications.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work a regular schedule of 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 AM - 11:30 AM on Friday.
  • Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize workflow, and complete tasks.
  • Highly client-service oriented, self-starter, and team player.
  • Ability to solve problems.
  • Excellent time management skills.
