The Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at the Highland Quartz Plant. As a working leader, you will report directly to the Maintenance Facilities Manager and be responsible for directing and leading the activities of the maintenance department. The maintenance department is responsible for both planned and unplanned maintenance of all manufacturing, subsystems, and facility equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with established health and safety policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and actively engaging as a safety-conscious worker.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Manage and maintain a PM schedule, ensuring compliance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Plan and execute annual shutdown maintenance activities.
  • Develop and mentor electrician/multi-craft technicians, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Implement and maintain a 5S/work area organization system, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Manage safety stock (critical spare) inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and minimizing downtime.
  • Ensure the maintenance team has the necessary tools and equipment to perform their tasks effectively.
  • Process purchase orders and manage vendor relationships, leveraging cost savings and mitigating unplanned downtime.
Requirements
  • 2 or more years of experience as a leader or supervisor in a maintenance leadership role in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience as a proficient multi-craft maintenance technician.
  • Ability to provide hands-on support to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve processes related to production, supporting subsystems/equipment, and facility equipment for high-voltage industrial processes.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude, with the ability to understand machinery and decipher blueprints.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, train, and mentor others.
  • Ability to lead by example, following plant elements of culture, ethics, and integrity.
  • Ability to schedule and accomplish desired results in an effective and timely manner.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing Momentive Technologies' safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor's degree (preferred in an engineering field) or 7 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in appraising and evaluating the work performance of maintenance staff.
  • Proficient in electro-mechanical, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Proficient in interpreting schematics and drawings and having a working knowledge of PLC controllers and process instrumentation.
