Position Overview

Role Summary

We are in search of a Robotic System Engineer to oversee the system control center, ensuring that critical challenges are effectively communicated to cross-functional teams to maintain optimal system functionality. This position entails spearheading continuous improvement initiatives and troubleshooting projects, collaborating with teams to identify root causes of issues, and implementing performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operational status of automated adapters, vertical lifts, and robotic vehicles.
  • Diagnose complex system and operational challenges.
  • Articulate technical concepts clearly to site teams and clients.
  • Document and relay issues to engineering teams, working together on viable solutions.
  • Educate and support operators on the complete system, including robotics, warehouse management systems, and IT infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with clients and both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in escalations to resolve production-impacting issues.
  • Engage in initiatives aimed at continuous improvement and standardization of warehouse automation processes.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and commitments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or software engineering, computer science, automation engineering, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience with automated systems.
  • Familiarity with PLC systems, robotics, and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Linux, Python).
  • Practical experience with robotics and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Capability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong desire to learn new technologies and assist colleagues as necessary.
  • A high sense of urgency and commitment to tasks.

Work Environment

  • Travel to client locations, managing associated expenses.
  • Physical demands include walking, reaching, working at heights, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.
  • Compliance with safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Ability to work in diverse environmental conditions.
