Job Title: Application Support Specialist

Job Summary:

The University of Miami is seeking a highly skilled Application Support Specialist to join our Enterprise Business Solutions (EBS) Team. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical support for staff, act as a liaison to Computer Support Services, and ensure the integrity and maintenance of our Workday application.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for staff and act as a liaison to Computer Support Services.
  • Ensure the integrity and maintenance of the Workday application, including HR, payroll, timekeeping, P2P, and accounting.
  • Assist in testing system upgrades and other technical projects as assigned.
  • Provide information to users on new processes and functionality.
  • Serve as a technical point of contact and assist subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity and testing system changes.
  • Assign role-based security roles in Workday.
  • Run and review discrepancy reports and update Workday accordingly.
  • Perform continuous data audits to ensure the highest level of data integrity.
  • Conduct testing in Workday tenants for user support issues and new releases.
  • Collaborate with the Change Management Team to identify areas for additional training.
  • Collaborate with the configurations team to research and validate issue resolutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, HR, or a related field.
  • One year of relevant work experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve discrepancies and errors.
  • Ability to work with highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office for reporting, analysis, and communication.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a friendly and professional approach to customer service.
