Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Inspector to join our team at Jones Machine Company, Inc.

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that manufactured products meet the specified standards and specifications of the drawing and that the parts meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, accept or reject finished items to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Measure manufactured products using calipers, gauges, or micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Maintain accurate records and results of manufactured products, including quality control metrics and defect rates.
  • Prepare and submit required Quality Assurance forms and certifications in a timely manner.
  • Recommend process improvements and adjustments to the assembly or production process to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to ensure compliance with design requirements.
  • Identify product defects, report, and record issues to facilitate corrective action.
  • Support process improvements and make necessary repairs to maintain a high level of quality and productivity.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team and other departments as needed to ensure seamless operations.
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental rules and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills to adapt to changing situations.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work effectively with others to achieve common goals.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized Quality Control Department.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a machine shop or quality control environment.
