Job Title: Manager, Finance & Operations

Boston College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Finance & Operations to join our team. This is a key role that will provide direction and leadership to the Business Center operational and financial functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide functional support to Facilities Management in the following areas: Business Service Center daily operations, Annual capital & operating budgets, Capital project reporting, analysis and closeout; Financial reporting & analysis, utility reporting and transaction processing, capital & operating procurement and accounts payable.
  • Oversee monthly billing and related journal processing as well as the year-end audit needs and schedules.
  • Partner with the Human Resources Manager to support reporting & analysis of overtime utilization and act as back-up for payroll entry and approval.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent is required, a Master of Business Administration degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of increasing responsibility in finance and administration and relevant experience handling multiple projects simultaneously is required.
  • Previous management and supervision of administrative and business function staff as well as experience working with senior executives is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with business systems for construction and project management preferred.
  • Strong data analysis and computer skills are required, including: MS Excel, Google Suite, MS Word, MS Powerpoint, Peoplesoft, PMWeb, and Smartsheet or similar software.
