Position Overview:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse I / II plays a crucial role at the Ertan Digestive Disease Center, contributing to patient care within a dynamic clinical environment. This position is located in Houston, Texas, and is part of the esteemed McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.

Key Responsibilities:

As a member of the healthcare team, the Licensed Vocational Nurse is responsible for:

1. Delivering focused care to patients with predictable healthcare needs, ensuring that care is safe, effective, and patient-centered.
2. Collaborating with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to implement care plans.
3. Administering medications and performing clinical procedures under supervision.
4. Conducting focused patient assessments and collecting relevant data.
5. Assisting in the management of patient flow and clinic operations, including preparation for procedures and appointment scheduling.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

- A current Texas Licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- An LVN License issued by the Texas Board of Nursing.

Physical Requirements:

The role may require exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently to move objects.
