Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at Highland Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our rehabilitation and nursing center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review 24-Hour Reports: Review the 24-hour report with the charge nurse from the previous shift to ensure a smooth transition of care.
  • Narcotic Count: Conduct a narcotic count at the beginning of each shift and verify all narcotic count sheets.
  • Room Rounds: Perform room rounds with the off-going nurse to ensure that all residents are receiving proper care and attention.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications as scheduled, including PPIs, Coumadin, PRN medications, nebulizer treatments, and skin treatments.
  • Documentation: Complete monthly summaries, skin assessments, and ensure that all CNA documentation on ADLs and meal intake is completed before the end of each shift.
  • Incident Reporting: Complete incident reports for any incidents that occur during each shift.
  • Lab Inquiries: Complete lab inquiries and note any new orders or labs received on the lab log.
