Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer I to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in the planning stage of projects, preparing formwork/framework drawings, and coordinating with customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning: Participate in the planning stage of projects to ensure efficient, safe, and economical form systems are incorporated into the project design.
  • Drawing Preparation: Prepare formwork/framework drawings for assigned projects, incorporating information from project drawings, bulletins, sketches, RFI responses, and shop drawings provided by other trades.
  • Customer Coordination: Coordinate drawing submittals with customers and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Project Monitoring: Monitor the safety, cost, and scheduling of construction projects, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Material Management: Coordinate material purchases, deliveries, tracking, and forecasting to ensure maximum utilization of company resources.
  • Field Engineering: Participate in basic layout and field engineering activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and company standards.
  • Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain customer relationships to enhance the company's ability to procure projects.
  • Special Projects: Perform special projects and complete all other duties as assigned or requested to support the organization.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a relevant area of education, or equivalent work experience and a minimum of two years' work experience supporting similar key responsibilities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Completed coursework in computer-aided drafting/building information modeling or an equivalent combination of training and/or work experience.
  • Teamwork: Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as with customers and vendors.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to read and understand drawings, meet deadlines, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Software Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
