We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer I to join our Denver, CO office. As a Staff Engineer I, you will have the opportunity to expand your skills and certifications through company-provided training and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform various field and laboratory tests to ensure accurate results.
- Work independently on specific assignments of limited scope and collaborate with engineers on larger projects.
- Prepare proposals for geotechnical and material testing projects, including managing basic geotechnical and material testing projects.
- Maintain client communications and build client relationships through effective communication and project management.
- Develop solutions, make recommendations, and prepare engineering reports for review.
- Observe construction in progress and report to project engineers to ensure project success.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to perform field-related services at least 50% of the time.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Travel up to 25% of the time.
- Prior professional consulting experience is desired.
- Proficiency in field-testing and report writing experience.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with geotechnical, materials emphasis, or related.
- Possess EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
