Position Summary
The Buck Institute is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team and contribute to the investigation of the molecular mechanisms of brain aging and neurodegeneration. As a member of our research group, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with a talented team of scientists, and publish your research in top-tier journals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments to elucidate the mechanisms of neuronal aging and cognitive decline.
- Utilize mouse models and/or cell-based systems to measure molecular features of aging and manipulate candidate targets.
- Analyze data and prepare manuscripts in collaboration with the Principal Investigator.
- Participate in Institute events, including seminars, workshops, and symposia.
Qualifications
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Neuroscience, or a related field.
- Experience in cell culture and/or in vivo mouse models.
- Basic molecular biology skills.
- Bioinformatics skills and experience handling high-throughput sequencing datasets are desirable.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Collaborative and inclusive approach to science.
