Job Summary

Sisu Youth Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to oversee the organization's housing programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, logistics, budgets, and relationships to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to disadvantaged youth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, homeless services, and youth programming, with a proven track record of leadership and staff development. They will be passionate about creating a safe and supportive environment for clients and staff, and will be committed to equity and consistency in Sisu's programming.

The Program Manager will work closely with the Clinical and Program Director to develop and implement processes that promote excellence in program delivery. They will also be responsible for representing Sisu to the community, attending community meetings, and collaborating with fundraising staff to ensure grants and other materials align with program goals and outcomes.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and organized individual with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will be committed to continuous learning and professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, leading, disciplining, and coaching
  • Coordinate day-to-day operations of Sisu's housing programs, including managing landlord relationships, apartment leases and inspections, maintenance needs, furniture sourcing, client referrals, move-ins, program violations, and grocery deliveries as needed
  • Develop and implement processes that promote equity and consistency in Sisu's programming
  • Represent Sisu to the community, including attending community meetings and collaborating with fundraising staff
  • Collaborate with the Sisu leadership team on organizational direction and growth, program development, and continuous quality improvements
  • Research and implement evidence-based programming to further the growth and development of services for Sisu clients
  • Oversee the collection and analysis of program data for purposes of monitoring quality and effectiveness across all Sisu services
  • Provide program evaluation, outcomes, statistics, and reports to the Executive Director
Requirements
  • Five or more years of experience in a related line of work, including homeless services, program management, youth programming, property management, or similar
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing staff, logistics, budgets, and relationships
  • Passion for disadvantaged youth with a history of trauma
  • Experience with youth, LGBTQ+, homeless populations, mental health, social services, or substance use recovery preferred
  • Must be highly organized and able to work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Work within deadlines and scheduled timelines
  • Confident in the use of Google workspace, Microsoft Office, and other computer applications
  • Ability to solve problems independently and assist in conflict resolution
  • Knowledge of resources and willingness to research and learn new programs and initiatives
  • Must take initiative and be self-driven
  • Experience with HMIS and/or data reporting software
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt in an ever-growing and changing environment
  • Commitment to answer phones, texts, and emails daily and respond in a timely manner
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift items over 25 pounds
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to use telephone, PC, copy machine, printer, and other office equipment
  • Licensed with a clear driving history and reliable transportation. Local travel will be required
  • Pass a state and federal criminal background check for grant compliance
