Position Overview:

The Technical Support Specialist will be tasked with delivering exceptional technical assistance to end-users at the client's headquarters and remotely across North America.

The ideal candidate will be adept at diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving both hardware and software challenges for internal staff promptly and effectively.

This role necessitates a solid level of technical expertise coupled with outstanding communication abilities, as the Technical Support Specialist will engage with users at all organizational levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site technical assistance for end-users.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software challenges, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Address technical issues efficiently to minimize operational downtime.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop hardware and software, including operating systems, applications, and peripheral devices.
  • Convey technical information to end-users in a clear and straightforward manner.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to tackle complex technical problems.
  • Document all technical support activities in the ticketing system.
  • Contribute to the creation of knowledge articles and other support documentation.
  • Participate in the testing and rollout of new hardware and software.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Required Skills:

Proficiency in Windows 10, desktop support, troubleshooting, service desk operations, help desk support, and customer service.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in desktop support, including familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and desktop hardware.
  • Understanding of networking and telecommunications technologies.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Capability to lift and transport computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
