In this role, you will be tasked with the comprehensive management of satellite operations across various critical programs that are essential to our organizational objectives.
Your responsibilities will include leading cross-departmental teams, engaging with stakeholders, and implementing continuous improvement strategies to boost the effectiveness and efficiency of our satellite operations.
Key Responsibilities- Direct the planning, execution, and enhancement of satellite operations programs, ensuring they align with strategic goals and operational needs.
- Work collaboratively with diverse teams to establish operational goals, requirements, and performance metrics.
- Create and maintain detailed program plans, identifying interdependencies, risks, and strategies for mitigation.
- Manage and prioritize client requests, ensuring prompt and effective responses to fulfill their operational requirements.
- Coordinate with software engineering teams to facilitate the deployment, commissioning, and upkeep of satellite systems.
- Build and sustain partnerships with external collaborators and service providers to support operational functions.
- Provide consistent updates to stakeholders, including senior leadership, regarding program progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Maintain effective communication channels for incident management and recovery efforts, ensuring smooth coordination among internal and external teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in managing operations that integrate hardware and software programs, particularly in satellite missions.
- Strong technical expertise in satellite systems, telemetry analysis, and command and control operations.
- Familiarity with satellite ground systems, communication protocols, and mission planning tools.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in program management, including planning, scheduling, and risk assessment.
- A strategic mindset focused on results, with a dedication to driving innovation and excellence.
- Enthusiasm for working in a dynamic environment with new challenges.
The compensation for this position ranges from $95K to $190K, depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
