About the Role

Muon Space is seeking a highly skilled Satellite Technical Program Manager to join our team and contribute to the success of our LEO satellite constellations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating our dynamic development schedules.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with product and mission teams to understand top-down goals and translate them into executable plans with detailed timelines, deliverables, and milestones for both internal and customer-facing programs.
  • Ensure every stakeholder understands what they need to deliver at all times.
  • Identify and proactively mitigate/retire program risks with relevant engineering teams.
  • Effectively prioritize and delegate to enable tactical and strategic decision-making cross-functionally across engineering, mission, finance, and strategy.
  • Develop standard reports to provide concise and effective communications to key stakeholders on program status, issues/risks, and accomplishments.
  • Work cross-functionally with teams to balance resource and budget constraints across multiple programs.
  • Learn Muon's engineering, production, and launch site operations with sufficient depth to critically evaluate them and offer process improvements.
Qualifications
  • B.S. in an engineering discipline, M.S. preferred.
  • 4-5 years relevant experience in engineering and technical program management.
  • Track record of successfully delivering complete systems (hardware, firmware, software, algorithms) on time, to scope, with high quality.
  • Experience in development and/or program management of complex multidisciplinary systems.
  • Expertise in modern, cloud-based productivity tools.
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, with ability to work successfully across all engineering disciplines.
  • Experience in vendor and contract management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excited to work in a fast-paced environment with new challenges each week.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • System engineering and experience with inter-discipline technical trade study.
  • Experience working with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Julia) and database queries (e.g. SQL, BigQuery) for data integration and dashboarding.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • Experience managing and growing teams.
Salary

The salary range for this role is $95K to $190K and will depend on a candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience as defined during the interview process.
